Macro Photography Workshop

Tiny Frog It's said that anything looks interesting if you get close enough. Well that may be true, but what they don't tell you is that the closer you get the more challenging it will be to shoot. Join me for a morning of classroom, technical, and creative work and you'll be ready to take on the world of macro photography!

Workshop Components

  • Classroom/Technical Training - Cover the techniques and knowledge you need for successful macro photography.

  • Hands-On Work - Perform exercises with your camera and equipment to learn, practice, and reinforce macro techniques.

  • Creative Shoot - Spend time combining technical skills with your creativity to make interesting photos. We'll have the Time Machine on hand for water drops, sound trigger work, and burning bulb shots.

Who Should Attend?

To get the most out of this workshop, attendees should be familiar with basic photography concepts and camera operation. In addition, the following equipment is recommended, but not required (if you do not have one or more of these items you will be given alternative shooting exercises that will let you work with what you have):
  • Macro Lens (or extension tube/reversing ring)
  • Tripod
  • Shutter Release/Remote
  • Off-camera Flash
